Wet County Bridge Up warning

so my suggestion is to add some thing like a railroad crossing or a flashing light or stop light that warns you when the wet county bridge is about to go up. The reason i say this is all to many time I've been trucking along and right as I'm getting up to the bridge, the yellow barriers start popping up and i end up smashing in to them. So it would be nice to have some type of warning as to when the bridge is about to go up or is up so that rivers can prepare and slow down before wrecking them selves.
i don't know if this is a common problem but I've seen a few people do it
like even a railroad crossing that if went down before you go to it, that would break when hit, i think would be warning enough to slow down. but it would have to be scripted to go down before the yellow barricades come up
.

This was suggested before, I think multiple times... and many people would like this. It would add some more realism, so:

Don't drive like a maniac. When you see yellow barriers popping up, hit the brakes and you won't smash into them. I'm old player here and I never smashed into it.

I saw many players when they see barriers comming up, they speed up trying to get across the bridge before it goes up.

btw try to install ABS on your truck, it will help ...

edit: yeah, I forgot to say use /ferry command like Cezy suggested.

Cezy

+1 for moonwalker or use /ferry and when it is at 40-60 minutes to arrive in wet/LS, you will know that bridge is up

We do not need to make it easy for new gamers. I learned the hard way. Let them learn the hard way too.

I use /ferry, it pretty much gives the idea whether the bridge is up or not.

One way of slowing players down on that part is to add speed cameras, since signs don;t really work, but I think of it like this: if you see an oncoming train and decide do go across the rails anyway, you know you can be killed(or in this case, lose money/missions) but you still do it. So whatever happens is your own fault.

Although adding a sign that could act like the signs at the terminals that say when the bridge will go up next will be nice, like signs 200m from the bridge on each side that says when it lifts up next or something.

Offtopic: That will be 20 wows please.

That's what I do too, and it's pretty effective.

That's what i'm talking about we don't need any more speed cameras just a warning when the  bridge will be going up cause i only crash in to em when the bridge is just starting to go up but i gues this ones gonna be up t the scripter on how to do it or if to do it i think it would be nice

Why giving scripters/mappers more work? They already have a lot of work as it is.
Just use /ferry command and you will see if the bridge is up or not.

This idea sucks.

The road barriers are there to stop you from crashing into the bridge/water as/when its going up. Use your brakes and pay attention to the road you'll be fine.

This idea sucks.
I understand the people with the "use available methods and forget it" thoughts, and maybe it's not worth the efforts it would take to create this, but why would the idea itself suck? It would be more real if this would be implemented... I don't get why some of you react like you would hate that indicator light there. (I always read way too harsh reactions for no reason, in suggestions section...)
