Before FTB was started (1.2.5) I with few friends compiled our own mod pack which we ran the server off. so 1.7- 1.2.5 time mostly IC2, RP2, BC2/3 etc. FTB made it much easier as it was not a buggy bukkit anymore with the permissions blocking most mod actions.
But for now I been running the FTB with slight modifications in configs mostly. Makes my life easier than fighting against bukkit permissions and finding bukkit ports for the mods.

I'd tell you the IP now (via pm of course ) but i gotta go fight the end dragon later and blow up a castle too Shane0 knows what i am on about, he was on it earlier on.
