What is going on with the server? Public Complaint - Take Action

Supported by one member of the staff team, I decided to start a topic with our public complaint about new server location.

Server's displacement did not change a thing in how it works and if I were to make a fair judgement, I would say that its stability is 10x worse than the previous one's. Moving the server to Arizona made playing an unpleasant experience for those living in the Europe. The game is laggy and our pings have raised significantly (mine - from average 64 to average 212). However, it would be bareable if the server was more or less stable and working - it is not. It crashes all the time, the lags for all players are huge - let me refer to yesterday when both me and Mr.Benny tried to organize a carshow and both of our events were interupted by an enormous lag and a crash. The day before, in an one hour time of me being (or trying to be) in game, the server crashed four times (basically each time I managed to start a mission and the server crashed, and again, and again).

Thus, I would like to make a public request for Mick to think about some improvements.
Mick, with all respect to you and what you have done (which, btw, I regard as an enormous achievement and a fantastic thing in general), if the situation with the server continues, we might expect many farewells from the community since we cannot (and I am not exaggerating here) play anymore.

At the same time I would like anyone thinking the same as me to leave his/her voice in a post below. Let Mick know that we care about the server and something has to be done.

anyway mick cares about that this AZ server has DDoS protection, and till it doesn't lag like hell - it's playable in his opinion..
let's add these 508's from forum too.. but imo mick should tell volt to move us to one of EU servers, even German or something..
otherwise we will have to wait till march when the contract between mick and volt ends.. long laggy days with this volt hooostt..

I know this week it been lagging even for me and i use to have low ping on this new location, its becoming laggy for American players also, it seems to be a problem with Volt itself, its not the location. So far it never been attacked by ddos attacks like it did before (5 - 7 days offline). I am neutral at this. If it moves to europe it will be offline everytime like it did before, if we stick to america it will be crashing sometimes itself due to lag.
So far this host doesnt have packetloss like FR and UK used to have.

I'm the same as matias, I am happy that I am one of the players with the lowest ping of everyone, but as long as I don't get ping kicked or desynced i couldn't care less where the server is, as long as it has DDoS protection.  What I really hate is the players that now have 200+ ping are complaining, I played with an average of 190 when the server was in Europe and UK, I never complained once, 212 ping? That's nothing, the only reason that I really care about having a low ping is that I can have every program running that uses Internet and not have over 300 ping

The only thing thats annoying is the huge desync/lag you get every 5 minutes or so, which lasts 2-5 seconds. Pings may be higher for Europeans, but the server is way more stable and has vitually no packetloss unlike UK.

I loved the new server at the beginning, it was smooth and nice.. but now lately, it has been terrible.. It isnt down, and it doesnt crash a lot, but it has this really annoying lag/delay for everything..

Everything goes so damn slow.. When you type a command, it doesnt come up before 1-2 seconds later, and if you look at the odometer, it is way behind, at least for me.

Its not a really fun gaming experience as it is now..

Its better to play with little lag than waiting a hours/days for server to come back. It would be better for me in Europe, i am in Europe, but if it is less crashing, then why not.

I never had any packetloss while server as in UK and not when it was in France either.

New to the server, and I must say, I love it here, but desync and timeouts are a big problem for me. I seem to be desyncing and timing out frequently. I had to reconnect roughly 5 times today. This is very frustrating. My average ping is in the high 200+ range. I currently reside in Cyprus, so I'm in Europe. On other American servers I play on, I don't experience these timeouts at all. I also believe it would be best to relocate the server to Central Europe. I don't know where it was located before, as I only joined on Sunday, but from what I've read, the server used to be located in Europe.

It's in central Europe, most of CT's players live in Europe, so why not get better ping.
