MTA: Roadworks Las Venturas (by Nerminzz)

Hi guys.

I had a nice project before a month, I was working almost 10 hours on it and it was gone.
I monday gave it another try and mapped something different else. I hope you enjoy it.

The idea was to block one lane and make the other lane for both sides vehicles, both 1 track. I quickly discovered how to do this and came up with this. Do not give too many attention to the actual construction side, it is about the way.
I tried to make it realistic, and I think i succeeded, for example I closed the emergency lane (begin) and putted some lights in it.

So what do you guys think? Comments or improvements? (btw, this was my second thing I ever mapped )

It looks very real but that place have to much traffic in the server so it cause problems. But i like it for single player.

you use way to many bars for blocking the road.. if th idea is to mak a one way road into two lanes you just need to split it, not make everything blocked... you dont need to place the bars everywhere, just in certain areas to show the one lane is blocked...

You mean the bars on the road at 0:22 and 1:37? They are just above the ground, you can drive over it, I only used it as 'line'

no, I mean all the bars, they are a bit excessive.. you only need maybe 20 max to split the one highway lane into a two way street...


the whole idea of your roadworks is (in my mind) to have the one lane blocked entirely because of the spill (Im guessing) so block that entire side, dont allow people by it.. then you need to split the other lane into to because the other is blocked,, you dont need to put all the other ones for people to manuver around


@ 0:10 you dont those coming from under the overpass.. and you dont need the ones in the ground (imho) they are not needed and serve no real purpose
@ 0:18 (imho) you should extend the block all the way up to where the road opens
@ 0:22 on the left of  the screen, those server no real purpose either because the 'roadblock' is down on the right
@ 0:26 you dont really need the little triangle because what it I wanted to turn left to go to the airport, its blocked now.. and the arrows are redundant (not needed) I see the reason you put the there though
the bars @ 0:40 and 0:43 I dont see why you did that
@ 0:51 again why put a v in front of the casino if there is nothing blocking your way?




this is just constructive feedback.. I could do it with your whole movie but I will stop here...  this is good for your (second) first time mapping a roadwork.. keep at it and youll learn how stuff works.. also I would suggest when you test it (test mode by F5) you select like 7 for the time and lock it so when you show it, its easier to see, because at night, some thing dont show up so well
