Hideout System

Today i thougt for a hideout system just for thiefs..or for every class...
This system sound like that:

When we are under a bridge,house,in a garage every thing like this..We don't appear on minimap...Repeat:Only for thiefs...or for every class...That make the server interesting...Just think about it...

Also you can see in this video...At 0:25...Like that..

I like it +1 , its like the system in Need for Speed when you get cops behind you , you can go into a garage or a underground parking and wait till the cops pass and the heat level will decrease until its fully gone , i like it so +1

I think I kind of understand what he's trying to say. Kind of like in single player when you have to do the stealth missions. You hide in the dark places and nobody can see you. However, I think this is kind of hard to script and makes it too easy for thieves to get away...unless you had a command you type that takes your icon off the map temporarily. Let's say you have a "hiding" meter kind of similar to the under water breath meter. You type /hide and your icon is off the map. As soon as you move or the bar runs out (bar lasts maybe 30 seconds?), your icon becomes visible again. Could have a timer that only allows you to use the command once every 5 minutes, or you have to wait 5 mins for the hiding meter to refill completely.

It might be kind of cool, but I don't think it will be implemented. And I think it should only be available for thieves, to help them with missions.

I take that back, I think cops should be able to use it too because then it's like real speed traps. If you see an icon coming, do /hide or whatever. Also you may want to include this "cops and thieves only" option to the poll...

This is similar to what I am trying to do for my racing server. The difference is, all players are split up into racers and cops (and maybe civilians). I am trying to script it like this: racers don't see cops, cops don't see racers. But when a racer is seen by a cop, he will appear on the minimap for the entire cop class. It goes both ways, tough. If a cop is seen by a racer, every racer will have him on the minimap. Pretty hard to script.
This is a trucking server, dude. Thieves can easily evade being captured by carefully choosing the working area. Adding a disappearing tool (no matter the tool's nature) will make it impossible for cops to catch any suspect.
