Yes, yes, yes, yes & YES! I, personaly, find it hard to read topic titles when searching for them in the list, it is far to bright for my taste. There should be a selection. I know plenty of forums who have done this, even taken it to the point of choose your own banner (Among a list of pre determined banners).
